About This Project

I was employed full-time at the Forest Preserve District as their Web Design Specialist for two years. When I started there, their old site was a mess of pages written using invalid, out-dated HTML. I redesigned their site to make it much more user-friendly. The site uses current web standards and valid code. As a result, the site is more accessible and is cross-browser compatible. The site consists of primarily static XHTML pages, but it also features some PHP scripts as well as a dynamic Flash header that crossfades several images.
